COLLEGE PATHWAY Program

Santa Monica Surf recognizes that many of our high school players aspire to play soccer in college. We believe that Santa Monica Surf is uniquely situated to assist and promote our players along this path. With that in mind, we have defined this to be a core mission of Santa Monica Surf.

We are excited to announce our Pathway to College into a year-round program for our Santa Monica Surf players and families. To lead this initiative is our College Recruitment Coordinator, Cory Hanks. With a decade-long focus on college recruitment, Coach Hanks brings an impressive track record. During his final three years with FC Virginia, his club successfully placed over 90 players in college programs. Furthermore, in the past four years, Cory has guided an additional 70 players through the recruitment process in his role with his specialized recruitment company.

Under Cory’s guidance, the Santa Monica Surf College Pathway program will educate our players on a macro level. This will include informative seminars throughout the year covering essential topics tailored to the various stages of the recruitment process. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to receive personalized guidance from Cory through one-on-one sessions.
